all. the. time. and theres different ways of doing it. people who line up with their groceries but are waiting on someone to come back with something, people who just need one more thing but was on their way past, people who forgot one last thing etc.

the other week i even had one to go so far as to put two things down at my register, walk off and come back with two things, walk off and come back with three things, walk off and come back with one thing and so and and so forth until my conveyor belt was full. like seriously, this is my register, not a basket, not a shopping cart!

Whether it’s the date of a receipt, the exclusions on a coupon, or the items referred to by a sale sign, the customer has almost invariably misunderstood it.  I only see exceptions to this rule about once every two weeks or so.
