Top Text: “COMPUTER SCANS ITEM WRONG.”
Bottom Text: “THE CASHIER OVERCHARGED ME FOR THIS.”]I work in a big grocery store, and spend a lot of my time at the customer service desk. Customers constantly blame the cashiers for scanning errors. Do they really think the cashiers are manually entering the prices as they go? I usually try to casually throw in a, “well she didn’t actually charge you wrong for this. It was the computer”, just to save my friend from the blame and make the customer realize they’re being a jerk.
Seriously. I hear this shit all the time. It’s not the cashier’s fault that the price wasn’t correct in the store’s computer. It’s a different story if they put in the wron produce codes, but the cashier is not responsible if the item has a barcode.
^^^ I GET SO SICK OF HEARING THIS SHIT LOL. Blame whoever inputs the damn prices.

I swear this happens every day in my store -_-
